On a beautiful October day in Eugene, Oregon, six noise musicians gathered outdoors at Kesey Square. The hour was 11:30AM, the sun a brilliant blaze overhead, the square slowly filling with lunch-goers, and the sounds, oh, the sounds, they were glorious. Over the course of 90 minutes, these sound artists crafted an intoxicating brew of sounds, each artist seamlessly flowing into the next, like ingredients in the perfect cocktail. Or mocktail, if you've had troubles with that sort of thing in the past.
The city crowd flowed in and out of the Square, like kelp on the tide, oceanic in their diversity, besuited to crusty. One and all, they stopped in shocked awe, struck still by the otherworldly sounds. Their Medusanality did not last, for it took not long for the discordant beats and jumbalaya rhythms to tweak their nervous systems, triggering waves of dance-like jittery glee!
Here then, hear this, the document of that day, that time, that moment.
