For many years we audio recorded every visit we made to a museum or gallery. We audio documented all of our engagements with art. In some cases we collaborated with these shows.

In 02001, LACMA had a show that featured the film Ballet Mecanique silently playing in a gallery space. The sound in the space was fascinating, a beautiful soundtrack all its own, created by the viewers there to see the film. (The George Antheil score was not included in the LACMA showing.)
One day we stayed in the space recording the full time that LACMA was open. We then layered the sounds recorded during the 30+ iterations of the film.
It was lovely. We mixed in additional moments of sound to create a soundtrack for Ballet Mecanique, which we released on a DVD in an edition of 3.
